The SBIF Asha Scholarship Program 2024, one of India’s largest scholarship programs, is an initiative of the SBI Foundation under its education vertical – Integrated Learning Mission (ILM).
This program aims to provide financial assistance to meritorious students from low-income families across India, ensuring the continuity of their education. This scholarship is open to students from Class 6 to 12 and for those who are pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate courses from the top 100 NIRF universities/colleges and IITs or MBA/PGDM courses from IIMs.
Selected students can receive a scholarship of up to INR 7.5 lakh to support their educational endeavours.

No. of Scholarships:
1. Classes 6-12: Up to ₹15,000
2. Undergraduate Course from Premier Universities/Colleges (Top 100 NIRF): Up to ₹50,000
3. Undergraduate Course from IITs: Up to ₹2,00,000
4. Postgraduate Course from Premier Universities/Colleges (Top 100 NIRF): Up to ₹70,000
5. MBA/PGDM from IIMs: Up to ₹7,50,000

2. Postgraduate Courses: M.Tech., M.B.A., M.A., M.Sc., etc.

Eligibility:
1. Open to Indian nationals.
2. Students must be studying in Class 6 to 12 or pursuing undergraduate/postgraduate courses from the top 100 NIRF-ranked universities/colleges or IITs/IIMs.
3. Must have secured 75% marks or above in the previous academic year.
4. The gross annual family income must be up to ₹6,00,000.
5. 50% of the slots are reserved for female applicants.
6. Preference for SC/ST category students and those with a family income of up to ₹3,00,000 per annum.
What is the selection process for this scholarship program?
The selection for the ‘SBIF Asha Scholarship Program 2024’ is based on academic merit and financial background and involves the following multi-stage process :
- Initial shortlisting of applications based on academic performance and financial background.
- Telephonic interviews with shortlisted candidates, followed by document verification for final selection.
