About the Institution:

Shiv Nadar School of Law, Chennai, is committed to fostering academic excellence and training the next generation of legal scholars and practitioners. We are currently seeking two dynamic and motivated Law Fellows to join our team in Chennai. We are a lean and close-knit team, and all members of staff and faculty are heavily involved across aspects of the School of Law.

The Opportunity:

This a fixed term fellowship designed for young lawyers who aspire to a career in legal academia. As a Fellow, you will be embedded in the heart of university operations, gaining a 360-degree view of how a premier legal institution functions. You will also have access to world-class faculty and resources to support your personal research interests. At the end of the Fellowship, you will have a comprehensive view of legal education in India, both inside and outside the classroom. We encourage you to explore and discover your interests in legal academia during your time with us and will support you in that endeavour. Your role will also involve academic support with different aspects of intellectual and student life of the university. One of our Fellow hires will be for the School of Law’s legal aid clinic initiatives, including planning and conducting legal literacy workshops, grant-writing, liaising with stakeholders, and developing resource materials.
