ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE POST OF RESEARCH ASSISTANT

 
Number of Posts: 5 (five)
 
Applications are invited for the post of Research Assistant for a research project sponsored by the Department of Commerce, Government of India. The project targets to analyze the existing trade in services measures at state/local levels of government in India.
 
The duties of the research assistants will include extensive travel and data collection from one of the five states, namely, West Bengal, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, and Sikkim. Applicants must be conversant in the local language of any of the five states.
 
Previous experience of working with the state/local level authorities in the concerned state is desirable.
 
The engagement will be for a period of six (06) months, with a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 50,000/- per month.

Necessary Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
1. LL.M. degree with a minimum of 55% marks
2. Knowledge of the local language of any of the five states mentioned above
3. Readiness to travel for fieldwork
 
Desired Qualifications/Requirements:
1. Prior experience of working with state/local authorities in any of the five states
2. Specialisation or demonstrable proficiency in international trade law
