ABOUT THE CENTRE FOR REGULATORY STUDIES:

The Centre for Regulatory Studies at National Law University Delhi (NLUD) is dedicated to advancing research and dialogue on emerging legal and regulatory challenges in India. As a hub of interdisciplinary inquiry, the Centre focuses on developing actionable policy solutions to address complex regulatory issues in sectors such as technology, gaming, public policy, and governance. By engaging with stakeholders from academia, industry, and government, the Centre ensures that its research is both practical and impactful. Currently, the Centre is at the forefront of studying the legal and regulatory dimensions of e-gaming, a rapidly evolving industry that requires innovative frameworks to ensure fairness, consumer protection, and compliance. The University has made tremendous contributions in public discourse on law through pedagogy and research. Over the last decade the university has established many specialized research centres.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

The Centre for Regulatory Studies invites applications for two (2) full-time Research Associate positions to support the e-gaming regulations research project.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The selected candidates will be responsible for:

1. Conducting comprehensive research on legal, regulatory, and policy aspects of e-gaming in India and globally.

2. Developing detailed reports, policy briefs, and academic papers based on the research findings.

3. Engaging in stakeholder consultations with government agencies, industry leaders, and consumer advocacy groups.

4. Assisting in organizing conferences, roundtable discussions, and dissemination events related to the project.

5. Undertaking any additional responsibilities or tasks as may be assigned in furtherance of any project’s objectives.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

1. A bachelor’s degree in law with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade.

2. Prior research experience in legal and regulatory studies or interdisciplinary research.

3. Demonstrated knowledge of laws related to digital platforms, technology, and gaming.

4. Familiarity with legal research tools and methods, including case law and statutory analysis.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

1. A master’s degree in law with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade.

2. Demonstrated record of publications in reputable academic journals.

PAY SCALE:

The selected candidates will receive a consolidated monthly remuneration of INR 50,000.
