Pay Scale: Level 12 (Rs. 78,800-1,75,200/-) in the Pay Matrix of the 7th CPC. (Total Emoluments excluding T.A. & H.R.A. at the time of initial appointment will be Rs. 78,800/- plus DA as applicable per month approximately)

Age: Not exceeding 50 years as on normal closing date. Relaxable for the Central/UT Government Servant upto the age of Five years in accordance with the instructions or order issued by Central Government.

Essential Qualification(s)  
A. Educational
(i) Masters degree in Law with specialization in the field of International Law or International Relations or International Organizations from a recognized University.

Note 1- Candidates having specialization in International Law at M.Phil or Ph.D level, but not at Masters level will also be eligible.

Note 2-International Law would, inter-alia, include major areas of International Law such as Law of the Sea, Human Rights Law, International Environmental Law, International Criminal Law and International Trade Law.

Note 3- Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
