Applications are invited from interested Advocates as per proforma in Annexure I for empanelment as Railway Advocates for the District and Subordinate Courts under the jurisdiction of Central Railway, covering the States of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Karnataka. The list of District and Subordinate Courts for which empanelment is to be carried out alongwith number of Advocates required in each Court is provided in Annexure II.

2) Procedure for Empanelment of Advocates:

(i) Educational Qualifications: The Advocate should possess a Degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized University. Preference may be given to Advocate with higher qualifications in Law or related disciplines.

(ii) Consideration will be given to the length of legal practice. Specialization and experience in representing Railways, Government, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), or similar institutions will carry added weight.

iii) Infrastructure and Support Facilities: Weightage will be given to the Advocate having proper and adequate infrastructure including: Office premises, Junior Advocate. Clerical staff, Computer, Printer and internet connection, etc.

iv) Professional Achievements: The number of cases where the Advocate has secured favourable judgments or orders. Decisions that have been reported/referred to in reputed legal journals or databases may be considered as evidence of professional competence.
