CBI, Kolkata intends to engage 04 Advocates as Special Public Prosecutors (Retainer Counsels) to conduct the Prosecution, Appeals, Revisions and other matters arising out of cases investigated by CBI and also represent CBI in other Miscellaneous matter pertaining to CBI before the Hon’ble High Court at Calcutta.

In this regard, applications are hereby invited from the eligible advocates for engagement as Special Public Prosecutors (Retainer Counsels) for CBI at High Court at Calcutta.

PROFESSIONAL FEE –

Counsel fee/Professional fee of the Advocates engaged as Special Public Prosecutor (Retainer Counsel) will be governed by the terms & conditions contained in DoPT letter No. 225/18/2023-AVD-II dated 24.01.2024 (copy attached).

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA –

The following cligibility criteria has been by the applicant while submitting the application for the appointment / engagement of CBI Special Public Prosecutor (Retainer Counsel) to represent CBI before High Court at Calcutta:-

(i) Educational Qualification: Possess a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from a recognized university.

(ii) Enrollment: Be duly enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council of Calcutta High Court.

(iii) Professional Experience: Have experience at the Bar in handling criminal matters before various courts, including the High Courts.
