The CBI Law Internship Scheme-2024 | 30 Vacancies

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) under its Law Internship Scheme-2024 seeks to engage 30 law interns from amongst Indian nationals, who are law students of Graduate course enrolled in reputed Law University/Institutes. These “Interns” shall be attached with the officers of CBI at Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Lucknow and Bangalore and would be expected to supplement the process of analysis within the Agency through empirical collection and collation of in-house data and other information. 

Number of Interns: A total of 30 interns will be selected by CBI for locations at Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Lucknow and Bangalore.

Eligibility: Following persons are eligible to apply for the scheme: –
a) The applicant should be a citizen of India.
b) The applicant should be a law student of Graduation course and enrolled in reputed Law University/Institutes.
c) For those pursuing 05 years integrated LLB course, applicant should be undergoing or have completed 8th semester of the said integrated course.
OR
For those pursing 03 years LLB course, applicant should be undergoing or have completed 4th semester of the said course.

Conditions of the Internship:
a) No payment to interns will be made during the internship and interns will have to make their own arrangements for stay and travel.
b) CBI will not be liable to provide any medical facility or any other facility to the Interns.
c) Internship does not provide any right for any future employment in the CBI.
d) Interns will be provided practical exposure to investigation and prosecution work by providing assistance to CBI law officers and investigating officers in researching court judgments on specific areas, preparation of court applications and replies, presentation of evidence / documents & examination of witnesses in court, trial work, pairvi work, data collection and any other work assigned by senior officers.
e) Interns are required to sign the “Oath of Secrecy” at the time of joining which will be binding on their conduct during internship and beyond.

Duration of Internship: The period of Internship shall be for a period of 03 months to 06 months.

How to apply:
a) Candidates are required to submit their application online on or before 20.07.2024. 
b) Before filling up the application, the candidate must ensure that they in possession of following documents:
i. Photograph of the candidate in .jpg format (upto 2MB).
ii. Scanned signature of candidate in .jpg format (upto 2MB).
iii. Proof of Date of Birth in .pdf format (upto 2MB).
iv. Marksheet from 10th class onward in .pdf format (each upto 2MB).
v. Letter issued by the present institute/college with regard to present enrollment status of the candidate, in .pdf format (upto 2MB).
vi. Recommendation letter issued by the Principal/HoD of the institute/college for undergoing CBI Law Internship for a minimum period of three months, in pdf format (upto 2MB).

Paid Internship – 1 (Every Month!)

The NCGG Internship Programme is a short-term engagement (minimum 8 weeks to maximum 6 months) of ‘selected students’.

A consolidated stipend/honorarium @ INR 10,000 per month on pro-rata basis will be paid to each intern.

Paid Internship – 2 (Every Month!)

The objective of this Internship Programme under the Ministry of Women and Child Development is to translate Hon’ble PM’s idea of “SABKA SATH, SABKA VIKAAS, SABKA VISHWAAS, SABKA PRAYAAS” for building self- reliant India.
Women students, scholars, social activists and teachers will be eligible for the program. The women students, scholars, social activists, teachers (herein after referred to as interns) need to be enrolled in/associated with any university/academic/non-academic institution.

Paid Internship – 3 (Every Month!)

The National Human Rights Commission, India offers their regular summer and winter internship programmes (May-June and December-January) every year. Apart from that, they also offer opportunities throughout the year except during the months of May-June and December-January.

Paid Internship – 4 (Every Month!)

This internship is with the Competition Commission of India. Eligibility: 3 year and 5 year law students, along with LLM students can apply.
Stipend: Rs.15,000/- per month

This internship is with the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Audit (DPIIT)
Eligibility: Students from Engineering, Management, Law, Economics, Finance, Computers and Library Management can apply.

NITI Aayog Internship Scheme (Every Month!)

Undergraduate/postgraduate students or research scholars enrolled in recognized universities/institutions in India and abroad can apply for the NITI Aayog Internship Scheme. They will work closely with NITI’s verticals/divisions/cells. Applicants will have to apply online by filling up the registration form.

lnterested applicants may apply online only in the address link to be indicated in the website of NITI Aayog during 1st to 10th of every
month. Application can only be made six months in advance but not later than 2 months before the month in which the internship is desired.
For example, if any applicant wants to join an internship programme which commences in the month of Apr-19 then he/she can apply from Oct- 18 to Feb- 18. The application will be valid for the desired month.
