EdCIL invites applications (online only) for engagement of 10 Consultants (Legal) to be deputed at Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, New Delhi.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

The applicant should possess a LLB degree (with minimum 60% marks) from a college/university recognized by Government of India. (Candidates having 05 years integrated LLB course are also eligible) Desirable: Candidates possessing LLM Degree will be preferred.
The applicant should have at least three years of work experience in legal field.

Role and Responsibilities:

•Providing legal advice to the Division on all legal matters.

• Liaising with lawyers/panel counsels and arbitrators, and assisting in the preparation of counter replies in court matters.

• Attending court hearings at the Central as well as State level and preparing records of the hearing with regular follow-ups.

• Monitoring of all ongoing Court cases and maintaining a status report.

• Compliance and implementation of Directives issued by the Ministry of Law and Justice from time to time.

• Analysing legal issues and recommending a suitable course of action. • Any other tasks assigned by the Head of the Division.
