Fellowship Programme 2025

 

SIAC is pleased to announce the launch of the SIAC Fellowship Programme 2025 (“Fellowship”). This Fellowship is designed to provide current students and recent graduates with a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in international arbitration.

Selected Fellows will be provided first-hand, practical experience of the role and functions performed by the SIAC Secretariat. As Fellows, you will work with a dynamic, multicultural and professional team of arbitration lawyers on the administration of cases under the SIAC Rules.

The Fellowship is open to both local and overseas candidates. Relevant background, interest, and experience in international arbitration will be taken into account when considering applicants for the Fellowship.

Period and Duration of Fellowship
The Fellowship will be offered for a fixed period of twelve (12) months, beginning in September 2025 and ending in August 2026. Fellows will be based only at SIAC’s Singapore office.

Remuneration
Fellows will be responsible for all costs associated with the Fellowship, including travel, accommodation, insurance, and associated costs. Assistance with visa processing will be provided where necessary.

Eligibility
The Fellowship is open to:
• Current students of a law degree programme; and
• Recent graduates (within the last 2 years) of a law degree.

Candidates are encouraged to verify their eligibility for the appropriate visa at: http://www.mom.gov.sg/passes-and-permits/. Proficiency in English is required and knowledge of additional languages is an asset.

Application Package
Applicants are required to submit the following:
1. Curriculum Vitae (maximum 2 pages);
2. Academic transcripts (undergraduate and postgraduate, if applicable);
3. Statement of interest (1 page) outlining your motivation and objectives for applying;
4. Two letters of reference;
5. Writing sample (maximum 10 pages, preferably on a topic related to international law or arbitration).
