Applications are invited from Indian citizens, who are law graduates as on 29.06.2025 for engagement as Consultant (Research) and Research Assistants in the Supreme Court of India, purely on contractual basis, as per the following details:

Consultant (Research)

No. of Posts: 3

Level in Pay Matrix: Contractual assignment with consolidated remuneration of Rs.1,25,000/- per month.

Educational, other qualifications and experience:

(i) LLB Degree from a recognized University; and

(ii) Excellent writing skills.

(iii) Prior experience in Research in the similar field for atleast a year.

(iv) Knowledge of IT skills including familiarity with data analysis and preparation of excel spreadsheets and power point presentation.

(v) Excellent legal skills and familiarity with legal database, legal information website and capacity to legal research.

Age Limit Not Exceeding: 35 years

Method of Recruitment: Contractual assignment initially for a period of one year extendable by one more year and will be on the basis of interaction.

Research Assistant

No. of Posts: 6

Level in Pay Matrix: Contractual assignment with consolidated remuneration of Rs.80,000/- per month. (Rs. 90,000/- on completion of one year term)

Educational, other qualifications and experience:

(i) LLB Degree from a recognized University and has also written some paper published including book/dissertation/thesis; and

(ii) Excellent writing skills.

(iii) Prior experience in Research in the similar field for atleast a year.

(iv) Knowledge of IT skills including familiarity with data analysis and preparation of excel spreadsheets and power point presentation.

(v) Excellent legal skills and familiarity with legal database, legal information website and capacity to legal research.

Age Limit Not Exceeding: 35 years

Method of Recruitment: Contractual assignment initially for a period of one year extendable by one more year and will be on the basis of published paper and interaction.

Method of Selection:

Selection shall be made on the basis of resume and Interaction. Only shortlisted candidates (three times the number of vacancy) shall be called for Interaction.

Registration of Application:

Eligible candidates are required to apply offline by sending the applications and resumes and other supporting documents in a single PDF file through e-mail on recruitment.cell@sci.nic.in mentioning the subject “Application for Consultant (Research)/Research Assistant” latest by 29.06.2025.

Separate application be made, if a candidate desires to apply for both the posts. The candidate should bear in mind while applying for contractual assignment that he/she will be required to work even at odd hours and on holidays, in exigency of work. It may also be noted that the contractual assignment can be terminated at any point of time without assigning any reasons and without any notice.

No TA/DA shall be paid to the candidates for appearing in the Interview/Interaction.
